MURRAMI Public School can now lay claim to more new infrastructure with the installation of a new school sign.
The sign was erected towards the end of term four last year and will now be used as an information board for students and parents.
Already the board has been used to let students know when school was due to return this year as well as to welcome back students.
Funding for the sign was part of the National School Pride Program, which is part of the Federal Government's Building the Education Revolution (BER) Program.
Murrami Public principal Judy Farrell said the new sign was an asset for the school.
"The kids and the community are very excited," she said.
"This will be another great way to get information out and a way to also encourage students.
"We'll change the sign on a regular basis."
An interactive whiteboard was also installed at the school on Friday.
The BER is a $16.2 billion investment over three financial years and is a critical component of the Federal Government's Economic Stimulus Plan.
The program provides all eligible schools across Australia with world-class educational infrastructure and aims to boost and support jobs at a local and national level.
Since Murrami Public received funding under the program, money has been spent on the sign, an interactive whiteboard, internal painting, guttering and outside maintenance.
The school will also be receiving a new classroom facility this year.
