For the first time the Leeton Town Band, the Riverina Concert Band from Wagga and the Griffith City Band came together to perform.
Leeton Town Band musical director Ruth Pait said all bands were happy with the evening.
“We estimated there were about 100 people there, which was really good considering it was such a busy weekend in Leeton with so many things on,” she said.
“It was unbelievable how well the bands played together, they had only rehearsed for about an hour and a half together, then it was just a matter of balancing and working together.
“They came out buzzing, not just the bands but the audience as well.”
Several of the Riverina Concert Band members were in Sydney for a performance, so the band did not perform alone, joining the Leeton Town Band for a section and all bands joining for the grand finale.
In the grand finale, the bands performed Putting on the Ritz, String of Pearls and I Will Follow Him among others.
Some combined pieces were conducted by Griffith City Band musical director Lachlan Pandelbury and others by Riverina Concert Band musical director Craig Walton.
Performers in the bands ranged from about 11 years of age to 70.
Mrs Pait said few people attended the information session planned before the concert, but it was a valuable chance for younger members of the band to gain tuition from more experienced members.
