FLEMINGTON came to Leeton on Tuesday when the Celi family transformed their home to celebrate the Melbourne Cup.
The Celi family used the race that stops a nation to raise $6000 for the Leeton Breast Cancer Support Group, after last year raising $5000 for the group.
About 90 people attended the event, which began at 11am and continued on into the afternoon after the running of the Melbourne Cup.
The Celi residence was set-up like Flemington and included everything from the birdcage and car park to the grand stand and race track.
Family member Natalie Turner said the event was a great success.
"This was the second year we have done something like this and after the success of last year we thought we would do it again," she said.
"There is nothing else like this on in Leeton for the Melbourne Cup so I think that's what makes it special.
"Everyone has had a great time and hopefully we will be able to continue on with this event next year."
Throughout the day entertainment was provided by Starry and Di-Salvatore Dance Academy as well as belly dancer Natalie Power.
There was also the traditional fashions on the field and the broadcast of the race.
The Celi family presented a cheque to Leeton Breast Cancer Support Group member Laney Lashbrook-Gough during the afternoon celebrations.
Mrs Turner said everyone who attended was glad to be able to help raise money for breast cancer.
"The Leeton Breast Cancer Support Group does such a great job," she said.
"Hopefully our money will go towards helping someone out in the local community.
"It is definitely a worthy cause and we are glad to be able to help."
