The Eagles held a narrow lead for most of the match and had to hold off a fast-finishing home side in the last quarter.

Earlier in the night the Leeton women bowed out of the competition, going down 54-41. The team needed to defeat Narrandera to make the final after beating Griffith the week before, but it wasn't to be.

The opening exch-anges were close, with Leeton only trailing 12-9 at quarter-time.

Narrandera extended the lead to six at half-time before blowing the Eagles off the court in the third, out-scoring the visitors 17-10.

Leeton fought back and the last term was even, meaning Narr-andera locked in a final clash with Griffith.

Lauren Valenta was the standout with both her defensive play and making five baskets.

Bec Slattery and Kelsea Pygram also went well in attack.

In the men's game, Leeton held a narrow 6-4 lead at the first change.

The Eagles were out by four points at half-time after both teams scored more freely in the second quarter.

Leeton surged after the main break, outscoring Narrandera 15-8 to take a 11-point lead into the final term.

However, the home side rose up and took control to almost come away with an unlikely win. Narrandera won the last quarter 22-15.

The Eagles held on for the win and will now be waiting to see who they play in the final, with their opponent to be decided in tonight's match between Griffith and Narrandera.
