FOR the second week in a row, the Crows suffered a narrow four-goal loss, this time going down 51-47 to the Wagga Tigers at a wet Leeton Showground last Saturday.
In the previous round, the Crows lost 44-40 to the second-placed Turvey Park.
Co-coach Nicole Matthews said most of the harder games are behind them until finals and was confident the Crows could beat the competition-leading Tigers then.
"We really wanted to beat them and I said to the girls that they're doable, we'll just have to wait until finals now," she said.
"We've had our two really tough games with Turvey and Tigers. The other hard one will be Griffith in two weeks and then we'll finish our run home and should have third spot and a second chance."
Against Wagga, Matthews said the wet weather helped the visitors play their style of netball.
"It was really hard, especially with the wet conditions," she said.
"Being dry would have favoured us with our quick game play. They've got a few older and really experienced players who like to slow it down.
"Michaela Fiumara and Kim Brown had really consistent games. Bree Wood shot really well and Rachel Broadbent in the defending area had a good game.
"In the end, they just outscored us."
Tomorrow, the Crows make the tough trip to take on Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes, who they beat by 14 goals in round three.
"We should have everyone on hand," Matthews said. "I'm convinced we'll pull away with the win going on our last scores, but they'll be competitive at home."
Last week in B grade, Leeton-Whitton lost 35-31 in another close one, with Suz Castle and Liz Elwin the best. The Crows continued their unbeaten run in C grade, winning 43-18, while the Blue Junior team won 26-9 and Red lost 22-20.
