TONY Abbott nearly became another statistic on the Princes Highway this week.
I am sure the Opposition could make a case for demanding the resignation of the Federal Minister for Roads, or maybe their State counterpart.
The highway has clearly been built using government funding, which, by Opposition logic, would make the minister responsible for the accident - given said minister is well aware that motor vehicle accidents happen on roads.
The car's driver, of course, could not possibly carry the burden of responsibility.
It is a credit to the semi-trailer driver that neither the occupants of Mr Abbott's car nor the mini bus caught in-between were injured, or worse.
