The workshop will be held at the Historic Hydro on Tuesday and is open to community groups and organisations, those that operate tourist attractions, restaurants and more. Awards organiser Belinda King said the aim of the workshop was to help prepare groups for the awards.
"We want as many nominations from the Riverina as possible for the awards," she said. "Anyone who is interested in nominating should attend because we'll be going through the submission process, which often can be quite a task.
"It's open to those that have nominated before and those that haven't. It's a refresher for the ones that have been part of the process and it will make those that haven't previously taken part aware of what they need to do."
The workshop will be facilitated by Karina Groth, who has worked on the state and national committees of the awards.
"She's an excellent presenter and she'll have plenty of tips and hints for those that come along," Ms King said.
"Leeton was chosen because it's a central location for the Riverina and Murray areas.
"It will definitely be worthwhile to come along on the day and even more so because it's free."
The Inland Tourism Awards provide tourism organisations and individuals the opportunity to gain an insight into their industry, their business, achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday from noon to 3.30pm.
