The Leeton office currently employs five people.
Metaland stores in Leeton and Wagga will be joined together at a new larger and refurbished facility in Bomen, located to the north of Wagga.
It is not yet known whether the five Leeton employees will be offered roles at the new location.
The new facility at the Bomen Industrial Park will be known as OneSteel Metalcentre Wagga, part of the national network of OneSteel Metalcentre branches.
The move will be made on April 30, according to OneSteel Metalcentre southern NSW regional manager Greg Mitchell.
He said the consolidation of the two branches would allow the business to better service the Riverina region.
"The new OneSteel Metalcentre facility will have a larger loading area for trucks, better storage facilities, an overhead crane for moving bigger loads, and overall, a better layout for all the material we stock, sell and move," Mr Mitchell said.
"We have added an additional delivery vehicle to our Wagga fleet to ensure our servicing of the entire Riverina district, including Leeton and Griffith, remains first class."
"We have been servicing the Riverina under various brand names since 1981 and this move is part and parcel of our ongoing evolution into Australia's foremost steel products supplier.
"As part of an integrated national network of branches offering processing solutions, products, project management and technical expertise, these changes mean we will be better able to service our growing customer base in the Riverina and provide a good foundation for any future expansion of the business."
The new facility will open for business on May 1.
