Held at No. 1 Oval, a solid crowd attended despite the cool night air, with wind only causing slight problems.
In the past the event has had to be cancelled due to windy conditions, but this year it was pushed ahead early before it became a problem.
However, this did mean some missed out on seeing the balloons in all their glory, but most were impressed, according to festival director Sally Doig.
"I think there was also some slight confusion with the times because we had some typos in our program," she said.
"However, everyone that was there was really happy and thought it was pretty amazing once again.
"It was another really well-supported event, so we would like to thank everyone that came out."
Keeping residents warm throughout the evening were the various vendors, who sold all kinds of food and drinks.
"We try to keep the cost at a minimum for the event because if we have to cancel it because of the conditions it's hard to refund people their money," Mrs Doig said.
"So really people do get quite an affordable night out from it.
"I think it's one of people's favourite events as part of the festival for both young and old.
"It's quite awesome to see the balloons lit up and something different that we don't get to see every day in our town."
