FORMER Leeton resident Fonzie Gomez is one step closer to achieving his dream of starring in a Hollywood blockbuster movie.

Mr Gomez has secured a role in Australian movie Fat Pizza Vs Housos as a "SWAT cop".
It will be the first time he receives a film credit on IMBD.com (Internet Movie Database).
"Everyday I get to dream bigger and bigger in accomplishing and it feels so surreal," Mr Gomez said.
"I've done more than I could ever imagine, with one opportunity leading to another.
"Landing a part in my first ever Australian movie is another dream of mine accomplished ... it can only lead to something bigger and better."
Mr Gomez moved to Sydney last year to pursue an acting career and has been auditioning and taking part in castings ever since.
Some of his other credits to date include appearing in a number of music videos for artists such as Vance Joy, Adam Brand and Sheppard.
He has also appeared in numerous television commercials and short films.
Mr Gomez has already started filming for the movie after having to keep the news a secret.
"Being on set with the cast and crew is so exciting," he said.
"I'm hoping to learn the ins and outs of moviemaking and how everything works on a larger set.
"Working with Paul Fenech, who is the director and star of the movie, has been such an awesome experience.
"Getting to play a SWAT cop and driving around in a (police) car all day definitely doesn't feel like I'm at work."
Filming for Fat Pizza Vs Housos is set to wrap at the end of the month, with the movie to be released in November.
