Five food and hotel services staff at the hospital were acknowledged for 25 years of service during a morning tea this week, as well as four others that have notched up 20 years.
A short ceremony was held on Tuesday that was attended by many hospital staff members, as well as Leeton Shire Council mayor Paul Maytom.
The acknowledgement was part of the HealthShare NSW Staff Recognition Awards, with hospital food and hotel services team leader Leanne Pitt sharing her own story of her many years of service.
"I recall how delighted and proud I was when I started at the Leeton hospital in April 1990," she said.
"I worked as a domestic cleaner and a kitchen maid filling roles as what we knew as a pot sink girl, tray girl, tea lady, diet aid, kitchen hand, hospital assistant, acting relief hotel services manager to my current position.
"We have all been through a lot of massive changes with many different structures ... (along with those) there have been numerous uniform changes.
"I was excited when we were informed of these special awards, so proud of all our staff."
The HealthShare Service Recognition Program acknowledges employees that have worked in the public sector for more than 20 years.
Staff recognised on Tuesday had a collective 217 years of service between them.
Councillor Maytom said it was a big effort to stay in one job for a long period of time.
"When Leanne rang and told me about this I said I would do everything to get here because I think it's a fantastic achievement," he said.
"These people have put their hearts and souls into their job.
"I think it's a big thing to get up everyday and go to the same job for a period of time such as this.
"We're lucky to have people like you in our community."
