AFTER having a week off from the competition with a club bye, Leeton-Whitton will take to its home track with confidence against Turvey Park tomorrow.
The Crows put in a strong showing against Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong until a poor final term allowed the Lions to kick away two weeks ago, while the Bulldogs last weekend scraped past Narrandera by five points.
Turvey Park ended a six-game losing streak with that win and will match up well against the Crows' quick, young brigade.
"I think with us getting back home it is certainly a game that we are hoping to be successful in," coach Dave Meline said.
"I believe we can match it with them if we can play a full four quarters.
"They are a good young running side as well. They've got good young players, they've had strong 17s for a few years.
"We just have to watch their spread and run."
With the bye, last week the senior squad trained on the Monday night before having an intra-club game on Thursday, then returned to regular programming this week.
"They've had a couple of good hit outs, (Tuesday) night they were feeling good," Meline said.
However, he is not expecting to have the services of injured duo Bryce O'Garey (hamstring) and Sean Browning (ribs), and with Matt Fraumeni also unavailable, has two spots to fill.
"I'll have neither of them (O'Garey and Browning) this week," Meline said.
"Twenty-one days was the rule of thumb in the old days (for a hamstring) so maybe another week for Bryce.
"Cal Garvey should be back this week and there are a couple of guys available again who will be up for discussion at selection."
