Leeton Shire Council community services project officer Jacob Muthsam has organised a band night that will feature three acts.
Melbourne band Slow Chase will headline the evening, with former Leeton resident Alex Hingston to return to town as part of his role with the group.
Albury band Lars and the Prussians also features a former resident in Lars Hennicke.
Mr Muthsam said the idea behind the band night had stemmed from the Bidgee Binge project, which has finished up.
"It's a bit of a follow-on from that," Mr Muthsam said.
"We held some similar nights as part of Bidgee Binge that were very successful.
"It's going to be a similar concept where it's all ages and drug and alcohol free.
"Hopefully we get plenty people there.
"The bands are great."
Slow Chase formed in 2010 after a chance meeting between British frontman Adam Gresty and Australian drummer Emily Shaw.
Lars and the Prussians is an experimental band, best described as folk/indie with a tinge of ambient, post-rock and other influences.
Mr Muthsam was looking forward to the event and said it was an opportunity for residents to be entertained.
"It's not often you get to go to such a high-quality, free event in Leeton," he said.
"We wanted to give the community something to do and something that doesn't involve alcohol or drugs."
Another act is also set to be added to the line-up and will be a Leeton shire band.
The event will be held on Saturday at the Roxy Theatre from 7pm.
