McDonald's Leeton franchisee Brad Carroll was one of the bunch ready to ride 800 kilometres from Wagga to Sydney's Westmead Hospital.
So far the riders have endured the treacherous journey, undeterred by a flooded road that forced them on a detour.
They have ridden more than 100 kilometres a day since the start. The group is expected to finish its ride today and has raised more than $100,000 for Riverina's Ronald McDonald House.
