WITH colourful paintings lining the walls and up to 100 patrons visiting the Roxy Theatre art-space, you would've be forgiven for thinking a famous artist in residence was holding an exhibition.
Money was exchanged and praise was given, but there was no Archibald prizewinner in sight, just the patter of little feet - Leeton Preschool's aspiring young artists.
Preschool director Marie Jacobsen, along with the other teachers, had explored the elements of painting and artwork with the children throughout the term.
Each child was given a canvas where they could paint something meaningful to them.
"They were pretty chuffed to see their artwork," Miss Jacobsen said.
"Families are able to purchase the artwork and they were keen," she said.
During sessions, some children worked with Leeton artist Vita Vitelli who shared her thoughts and techniques.
The three-year-old group gained inspiration from objects like vases of flowers and bowls of fruit, which added a different element to their artwork.
A highlight for the teaching staff was the sheer delight the experience gave the children.
"Children can do anything if given the encouragement," Miss Jacobsen said.
"The excitement on their faces as they thought 'wow that's my work' (was my favourite.
"We are very proud."
The exhibition continues daily until Friday from 10am until noon and 3.30pm until 5pm.
All money raised will go to the preschool.
