A CAR that had been reported missing was found burnt out after it had been recovered by police.

Police were called to Massey Avenue in Vance Estate to investigate a stolen vehicle.
The white Nissan Navara ute was allegedly taken at around 3.20am last Thursday.
Other vehicles in the area appeared to have been broken into, with tools stolen.
The car was later located by police behind the MET School on Poplar Avenue.
Because of its close proximity to Massey Avenue, the car was left in place.
Later that day the RFS was called to Poplar Avenue. The car had been set alight and the flames had spread, causing a small grass fire. Police said the fire was deliberately lit.

A DRUNK driver smashed into a fence and tree on Saturday night, resulting in his arrest.
A 20-year-old Leeton man was driving along Sycamore Street when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree and fence.
The driver suffered a broken thumb.
The man recorded a mid-range blood alcohol reading.
He was arrested, charged with negligent driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
His licence was automatically suspended.
He will appear before Leeton court on November 7.

DRUGS were found in a vehicle stopped for a routine breath test on Saturday morning.
A 38-year-old Hanwood man was stopped by police on Pine Avenue at 12.15am.
A small amount of cannabis, 0.2 grams, was found in the vehicle, along with drug paraphernalia.
The man was arrested and is expected to appear in court at a later date.

POLICE are making in enquiries into two alleged break-ins in Mimosa Street and Church Street.
Police allege a house on Mimosa Street was broken into sometime between 10am on August 26 and 10am on August 28.
A number of food items were allegedly stolen.
Police are also investigating a reported break-in on Church Street.
Believed to have occurred between 4.30pm on August 25 and 11am on August 26. Thieves allegedly stole a fishing rod and bicycle.

A MAN is set to appear in court after being caught speeding while under the influence of alcohol.
The man was pulled over by police on Irrigation Way near Karawatha Drive north of Narrandera at 6.20pm last Wednesday.
He was issued a court appearance notice for speeding in excess of 10kmph over the speed limit and recording a low-level alcohol reading.
He will appear in Narrandera local court on October 24.
