THE Leeton Junior Rugby League under 8s Raiders took part in an exhibition match before the Canberra and Wests Tigers NRL game at at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.

Leeton played against the Bungendore Tigers and it was a tough game with the Raiders having no reserves.

It was a tight match with the boys battling hard to make line breaks and metres against a fresh Tigers team.The boys played as fantastic defensive unit and managed to hold Bungendore away from the try line on many occasions.

Leeton eventually came out on top in the game, scoring four tries to two.

The young Raiders also caught up with one of their own, former Leeton junior Lachlan Hurst, who now plays lower grades at the Raiders. Thanks go to the parents and children who travelled to Canberra for an experience they will never forget.
