Officers were called to a motel at 7.40pm in relation to a domestic dispute.
Police allege in the course of investigating the matter, 35-year-old Jasmine Holt began acting in an "aggressive manner" and resisted being arrested.
While officers attempted to put her into a police vehicle she allegedly lashed out and kicked a senior constable, causing minor injuries.
Ms Holt was taken to Griffith police station where she was charged with assaulting a police officer and other offences.
She appeared before Griffith Bail Court yesterday morning where bail was granted and the matter adjourned to the Leeton Local Court on October 10 by magistrate James Bretag.
