8.20am: More than six months after Lakeside Drive was ripped up, disgruntled residents have pleaded with Wagga City Council to put an end to the road's delay-plagued reconstruction.
On Thursday, residents along the leafy lakeside strip could do nothing but watch as graders, rollers and tip trucks full of dirt went backwards and forwards along the street - again.
8.05am: More arrests in Griffith are likely after a joint drug operation netted a 51-year-old Hanwood man accused of cultivating a commercial quantity of marijuana.
The man was arrested as part of Strike Force Oceanic, a joint operation into the illicit drug supply in the community which resulted in the seizure of a crop estimated to be worth $6 million.
A 40-year-old Murrami man handed himself to detectives on Thursday afternoon.
7.50am: Tom Eastlake from Young was last night awarded a prestigious Nuffield Scholarship supported by Horticulture Australia Limited, as part of the across industry program with matching funds from the Australian Government.
He will study cherry field handling, packing techniques and packaging materials.
