Miss Henman, 18, was one of two contestants in this year's Leeton Showgirl, with Whitney Walker named the runner-up.
The announcement was made on Friday night, with the junior categories judged and revealed during Saturday's festivities.
Miss Henman said although there were only two entrants this year, she wasn't expecting to win.
"I was actually really surprised ... I didn't think I would win at all," she said.
"When I was asked to take part I thought it would be a good experience and good for my confidence.
"It was actually a lot of fun. I really enjoyed taking part."
Miss Henman graduated from St Francis College last year and has been working full-time at Amcal Pharmacy since then.
The Showgirl competition requires entrants to have a solid knowledge of rural NSW, as well as the town they live in.
Miss Henman will now compete in the zone final of the competition, which will be held in Finley in February.
During the final she will be judged on personality, confidence, ambition, life goals, general knowledge, rural knowledge, presentation and speech.
"I've really enjoyed this experience, so I'm sure it (the zone final) will be just as fun," Miss Henman said.
"I would tell everyone to try it next year.
"The three from this region that are picked at the zone final get to go on to the Sydney Royal (Easter) Show.
"I think that would be another great experience, but I'm not sure how I'll go.
"I'll definitely be preparing for it."
