Eleven new staff members have started at the aged care home, including new care team manager Lauren Kingsbury and deputy care team manager Steven Weckert.

Miss Kingsbury has spent the past six years working at Scalabrini Village in Griffith before starting in her new role in Leeton at the end of July.

Both she and Mr Weckert live in Leeton, which is a positive for the villa, according to Miss Kingsbury.

"I think in the past having fly-in, fly-out managers that aren't from here hasn't worked well (at the villa)," Miss Kingsbury said.

"Living and working here you're part of the community.

"It all works together."

Among the other new staff are endorsed enrolled nurses, with physiotherapy for residents to also become more of a staple at the facility.

Miss Kingsbury said she was looking forward to the challenges ahead.

"There's always going to be challenges, but it's exciting for me when you solve them," she said. "Ideally what we are doing here is creating a stable environment for the residents and providing quality care for them.

"With Steve's role it's the first time we've had an experienced registered nurse in a role of this capacity.

"It links in with our idea of providing quality care for the residents until they leave us ... they get to stay here rather than go to hospital.

"They're getting excellent care here without having to disrupt their routines."

Most of the new staff hail from Leeton shire.

"I love my job," Miss Kingsbury said.

"I enjoy it and we have a really great facility here."
