I learned recently of the proposed changes and role of The Irrigator administration to take place shortly.
It was with surprise and shock that it had been announced the staff will be reduced from five members to two only.
When one considers that the quality of the paper has never been better in the 80 or so years that I have been reading it, particularly the last 10 years, there seems no reason for change.
I've been informed the circulation is steady and the quality of content is really good.
I suggest that the issue at hand be handled by the ABC experts, Clark and Dawe to give us some semblance of understanding.
Editor John Gray has steered the ship through all waters with the idea of a "fair go", without any hint of discrimination in his acceptance of contributions.
And I as a contributor to the "letters to the editor" column for the last 10 years, he obviously lets anyone, which in my case, is definitely an act of charity.
I for one shall miss him as a good administrator and friend.
Thanks John.
