THE inaugural Leeton Soldiers Colts Cricket Club reunion last weekend went down a treat with plenty of stories and catching up.
Having secured guest speakers in former Australian player Geoff Lawson and Riverina coaching guru Warren Smith for the main dinner, the weekend was well received by the 90 former club cricketers.
One of the organisers, Merv Graham, said it was a tremendous weekend.
"Geoff was really entertaining, Warren Smith was good," Graham said.
"Geoff talked about Riverina in the old days and his overseas coaching. Then there was about an hour of question time.
"We had a few old fellas get up and say a few words, John Breed and Peter Clayton, Barry Greatz and Billy Lamont."
The dinner also included an auction of memorabilia.
The weekend started with a social night last Friday, which for some rolled into two days of socialising.
"There was a lot of catching up," Graham said. "A lot of blokes came from a long way away."
Those attending also included former Wallabies player Phil Clements, former North Sydney winger Larry Kelly and Leeton Redlegs premiership player Ray Trebilcock, who all turned out for Colts in their day.
