YOUNG Police have seized more than $40,000 worth of the drug "ice" allegedly hidden in the mattress of a woman staying at a local motel.

Police will allege a 35-year-old Leeton woman was supplying the drugs.
Cootamundra LAC crime-coordinator Detective Sergeant Matt Packham said police attended an apartment within a local motel in the early hours of Monday morning.
"Police knocked on the door of a room and were invited in," he said.
"Police entered the bedroom of the apartment and conducted a search."
Detective Sergeant Packham said the search initially uncovered a glass pipe used to smoke ice, hidden under a mattress.
A further search inside the mattress allegedly located a clear plastic resealable bag with 33.51 grams of methamphetamine - commonly known as ice - as well as $4450 in cash bundled together.
Police also allegedly found 7.63 grams of ice and a number of other items associated with the supply of prohibited drugs elsewhere in the bedroom.
Detective Sergeant Packham said scales were also located in the mattress base.
A total of 41.58 grams of ice was seized, police said.
"The amount seized was well in excess of the trafficable quantity," Detective Sergeant Packham said.
He said the street value of the drugs seized was "in excess" of $40,000.
35-year-old Leeton woman Jasmin Holt was refused bail when she faced Cootamundra Local Court on Monday.
She will appear via audio visual link at Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
She is facing charges of possessing equipment to administer drugs, supply an indictable amount of a prohibited drug, possess prohibited drugs, dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime and goods in personal custody.
