The home of the restored Mrs Harrison's Bakehouse baker's cart was up in the air for some time, with the Leeton Shire Men's Shed originally calling on council to assist in finding a permanent place to house it.
Council and Men's Shed members eventually came to an agreement to erect at shed for the cart.
That shed has now been constructed at the Men's Shed property in Brobenah Road, thanks to council chipping in more than $7000 and the Men's Shed providing the majority of the labour required.
Men's Shed publicity officer Alan Brink said while members had been hopeful of having the cart located at a more public venue, it was pleasing to have a solution.
"We would have liked to have had it somewhere people can view it all of the time, but now all they need to do is come here during our opening hours and we will be happy to pull it out for them to have a look at," Mr Brink said.
"It's also available to hire for community groups.
"The cart was a bit of an icon around town and it does have quite a bit of history attached to it.
"Our members enjoyed restoring it and we're happy it now has a home."
The single-roller door shed is insulated and lined to help protect the cart from dust, with a small vent to prevent the structure from becoming too hot in summer.
"We needed a space that would protect it from all the elements," Mr Brink said.
"It also gets it out of our hair in the bigger shed that is here.
"We were tripping over it and it wasn't the best space to show it off to people. Now we can do that much easier."
