Competing at the top level was a result of Leeton shire excelling at the regional awards at Griffith in August.

Sauce Communications is nominated in the excellence in small business category, McDonald's Leeton franchisee Brad Carroll in the young business executive (18-35 years) award, Southern Cotton in the excellence in innovation section and Grain Link for excellence in business.

Three of those winners also achieved success at the Leeton Outstanding Business Awards held earlier this year.

Murray-Riverina NSW Business Chamber regional manager Ben Foley was hopeful the winning run would continue.

"Leeton shire businesses have really excelled and stood out this year," Mr Foley said.

"It's great to have a good cross-section of businesses representing our region at a state level.

"Our region has been extremely successful at a state level in the last five or six years, so hopefully that continues."

The awards will be held in Sydney this evening, with previous winners including big-name companies.

Mr Foley said even though the night was about handing out awards, there was another component to the event.

"While it's great to win, I think it's fantastic just to be there and be nominated," he said.

"All of the nominees from our region should be very proud of their achievements. Leeton was successful last year at a regional level and the bar has been raised again this year for the state awards.

"I think it shows things are happening in the region.

"We're really excited about all the good things happening in Leeton."
