Last week the Roxy Theatre's iconic lights were smashed, leaving the community with a bill in the thousands to replace the tubes.
There have also been other incidents in the past week that police believe are linked to the attack on the Roxy.
"Mountford Park has had some damage in the past week," Leeton Sergeant Craig Johnson said.
"Sprinklers have been destroyed, graffiti on play equipment, rubbish thrown around and birds let out of the cage in the middle of the park.
"It's all unnecessary and I'm sure the community is sick of it."
There has also been a sickening incident where a cat and rabbit were killed and mutilated and left for employees to discover at a Pine Avenue business.
"It's not only animal cruelty and the mistreatment of animals, but it's appalling for people to have to find this sort of thing," Sergeant Johnson said.
Bins have also been set alight during the past week.
"We believe all of these incidents are linked and we will be getting to the bottom of it," Sergeant Johnson said.
In separate matters, Leeton Shire Council has also had to repair various street signs after they have been bent and pulled out during the same time period.
Sergeant Johnson urged community members with information to get in touch.
"If anyone can assist in our investigations we would appreciate them contacting Leeton police or Crime Stoppers," he said.
"These sorts of incidents are completely unnecessary and it's the ratepayers that have to foot the bill.
"We know someone out there must know a bit more about what has gone on."
To assist police contact the Leeton station on 6953 1399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
