The road was closed in order for officers to reconstruct the accident and prepare a brief of evidence for the court process.
The single-vehicle accident occurred on December 5 when a Toyota Hilux utility, being driven by a 19-year-old Leeton man, left the road and rolled several times, landing upside down in an irrigation channel.
Two passengers travelling in the cabin - 21-year-old Leeton resident Jake Isbister and 17-year-old Chloe Hardy from Cootamundra - died at the scene.
A third, Kyle Dalzell, who was travelling in the rear tray was airlifted to Wagga Base Hospital after he was thrown from the vehicle.
He was discharged from hospital on December 8.
The driver was taken to Leeton District Hospital for minor injuries and on his release was interviewed by police.
He was charged dangerous driving occasioning death (two counts) and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He has been granted conditional bail to appear before Leeton Local Court on February 6.
