Jaide Berney's simple Facebook message for Nella Amato's business resulted in a custom-made gown, hairdressing session and make-up.
"It was a huge surprise," Ms Berney said. "I feel very lucky to have got this offer.
"All from a positive vibe."
Ms Amato said she was flattered by the positive feedback she received from Ms Berney.
"I decided to do something nice in return," she said.
"I sent a message to Jaide asking her to come into my store so I could design a complimentary gown as a thank you.
"The more I got to know Jaide I couldn't have chosen a better person who deserves one of my couture gowns. She works hard and long hours."
The gown - with matching shoes - received high praise from founder of the Brown Sugar line of women's clothing stores.
For the final fitting and presentation of the gown, Ms Berney's also had her hair styled by Angelica Webb and her make-up done by Sarah Harris.
