On November 24 and 27, two blackouts caused residents and businesses to be in the dark for a collective 21 hours.
There was also a four-hour power outage earlier in the month.
Golden Grain Cafe owner Beth Preston said Essential Energy were aware of the problem.
"We're supposedly going to be getting an upgrade, but I'm not sure when," Mrs Preston said.
"Obviously they can't control when branches fall onto powerlines or other issues like that, but it does really have an affect.
"I had to go out and buy a generator for my business just to ensure the products stay cold and we have that electricity, otherwise we wouldn't be able to trade.
"However, I don't think I should have had to have gone out and done that at my own expense."
The township of Barellan had similar issues in March.
Essential Energy regional manager southern Steven Ilitch said the interruptions were caused by storm activity and another instance where heavy farm machinery came into contact with a powerline.
"We are very aware of the power reliability problems experienced in the area and apologise to anyone that was inconvenienced by the supply interruptions," he said.
"We're working hard to minimise the impact of these external influences by continuing to invest in the network ... work has been scheduled to replace network equipment damaged during the last supply interruption to ensure the integrity of the powerline.
"Further maintenance and upgrades to network protection equipment are anticipated for early next year."
Mrs Preston was still at odds as to why Barellan seemed to experience most of the issues.
"It's not a problem in Leeton, in Narrandera or in the smaller suburbs of Griffith, so why does it keep happening here?" Mrs Preston said.
"I think it's concerning for those living on a farm as well. The problem does need a long-term solution.
"I find it unfair that we have huge electricity bills, but we can't rely on the service we pay for."
Mrs Preston has lodged an official complaint with Essential Energy.
"I think there will be more blackouts to come and something needs to be done now," she said.
"There's no use waiting for another one to happen. The problem needs to be fixed now."
