It's not a definite decision, but it's the right one none the less for Leeton Shire Council to continue operating the Leeton golf course for another two years.

Council decided at its ordinary meeting last week to extend its caretaker role for another two years.
It was due to make a formal decision on how to proceed with the course, but chose to give the caretaker position another two years to gain a clearer understanding of the finances and work involved.
Users of the golf course, volunteers and pro Jason Mimmo were at the meeting to hear the decision and congratulated council on its efforts so far. While they may have been hoping for a more permanent decision, this was the right one from council.
There is no point jumping straight into the deep end without having all of the facts, figures and knowledge first.
The golf course has gone from strength-to-strength in recent times and it is thanks to council, the volunteers and Mr Mimmo.
There are hundreds of players out on the course each week as part of Twilight golf, junior numbers are up and the course itself has never been in better shape.
It's in the centre of town and not only does it attract residents, but also visitors. This month it has the Pro-Am coming up, which will no doubt inject vital funds into the shire's economy.
The Leeton golf course is something we can't afford to lose.
