Last week the school created new wicking gardens with the help of student volunteers from Leeton High School.
A wicking garden is created to ensure it has sustainable water use.
The students, with the help of the young preschoolers, worked to create vegetable patches as part of the gardens.
Leeton Preschool director Marie Jacobsen said there were many benefits to the project.
“The students learn about the process, but they also enjoy learning about the growing side of things to,” she said.
“We would like to thank Leeton High for its help.”
