WEDNESDAY Whackers had 29 players going for the cash, with the winner new golfer Aaron Woolley on 42 points from Peter Reid with 40. NTPs: 4 & 13 Simon Watson, 6 Bruce Harrison, 15 Ian Harrison. The ball comp went down to 35.

MONDAY’S veterans had 18 players for a stroke event. Winner for the day was Jongebloed with 66 nett. Runner-up was Penny Hudson. NTP’s went to Darto on the 4th and Lamont on the 13th. This week is a stableford and the captain is Hudson.

LAST Wednesday’s ladies had 22 starters, who played a secret nine stroke. A grade winner was Janelle Sullivan, B grade was Kath Meagher and C Grade was Lyn Wood. A grade putts went to Sullivan on 28 c/b, B to Lamont with 26 and C to Wood on 31. The ball comp went to Dodd with 38.

LADIES weekend golf was the Bev Fitzsimon Trophy fought over both days. Saturday’s winner was Penny Hudson with 74 on c/b from Jenny Thomas. NTP’s went to 4 and 13 Nola O’Reilly, 15 Viv Burton. The ball comp went to 76 nett on a c/b.
SUNDAY’S winner was Jacqui Walsh with 71 from Helen Robinson on 75. NTP’s: 4 Sue Reid and 13 Serena Jablonskis. The ball comp to 77 nett.

GORDON Smith won the stableford event at Yanco social golf last weekend on 28 points. Phil Pullen was runner-up with 24 points and Ross Cantrill third on 22. NTP: 4 Cantrill, 6 Pullen, 13 and 15 Smith. The week before Ron Broadrick and Sam Killen won the 4BBB championship by two shots, with Cantrill and Smith the runners-up. This week is the George Beard Memorial two-person ambrose.
