Exciting play was witnessed as teams staked their claims for grand final berths.
Perhaps the most exciting end was in the B-grade girls where a Felicity Allen basket from way out on the siren secured her team, SunRice, a grand-final berth in defeating Tim Barnes Comms 42-41.
All players and families are asked to check the grand final draw carefully to ensure you know when your team is playing. All grand-finals will be played on Monday night, June 1, with games scheduled for 6pm, 7pm and 8pm tip-offs.
The boys and girls grand-finals for each grade will be played simultaneously.
Note also that following each grade a presentation will be made to the premiers and runners up. Trophies will also be presented in each grade for the Most Valuable Player (top 5 players in each grade will be announced), Most Improved and Encouragement Award.
In the A-Grade boys and girls a Sportmanship Award will be presented in lieu of an encouragement award and also in the A-grade grand-finals there will be presented a Best on Court (B.O.C.) in both the boys and senior girls grand-finals.
Grand final night is always an exciting night of close and often unpredictable basketball, so come along and support the players. It would be great to see the stadium packed on Monday night. Admission is free and a top night of basketball is assured.
