The Hawks haven’t played at home since their derby win over the Leeton Greens last month.
Coach Simon Watson was hopeful his side would continue its good form against the Sharks.
Last weekend Yanco-Wamoon drew with the Griffith Black and Whites.
“It’s a game that we probably should have won,” Watson said.
“I’m sure Black and Whites probably think the same thing.
“There were a lot of blokes with their heads down in the shed after the game, so I would say that will still be fresh in their minds come Sunday.
“I think they’ll use it as a bit of extra motivation against TLU.”
The Hawks have won three games and drawn another so far this season and are currently sitting sixth on the ladder.
TLU is one step below them on seventh.
“They’ve been really good over the last couple of years,” Watson said.
“We have always struggled against them.
“I don’t think we’ve beaten them in a couple of years at least. It should be an interesting game.
“Hopefully by being at home we will have a bit of an advantage.
“The crowd seems to really get behind us at home, which is great.”
Dan Hyde will likely be out injured this weekend, but the rest of Watson’s squad is expected to be fit and ready.
“Last week we didn’t have the best preparation, which came through on Sunday,” Watson said.
“Our training on Friday night wasn’t great, but I think the guys know now that if you train well on a Friday that form will likely carry through to Sunday’s game.
“We’ll look to get a good session in and hopefully that will translate on the field on Sunday.
“We know if we train hard that it works in our favour.
“Friday night trainings are really crucial.”
Defence will again be a key component of Yanco-Wamoon’s game plan.
“We are going to keep working hard at our defence because that is what is working in our favour at the moment,” Watson said.
“We’ll also need to have a good completion rate if we’re going to beat TLU.
“We don’t want to do anything silly.
“It’s about being good in defence and constantly pushing them.
“If we can do that we will be right in it.
“I have full belief that we can win on Sunday.
“We’ve really starting to gel well as a side now.
“I’m happy with our left side and our right side.
“Everyone is working together as a team.
“That’s the main thing I like to see.”
