Marcus Stanford, 24, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to Miss Scott’s death.
His brother, Vincent Stanford, 24, was charged with the murder and aggravated sexual assault of Miss Scott in April.
During a brief mention at Griffith Local Court on Wednesday, Magistrate Thompson asked if there was any reason Vincent and Marcus Stanford’s cases could not be heard concurrently when the time came for the trial, as they were “co-accused”.
She was told there was no reason the two could not appear at trial together in future.
Marcus Stanford was set to appear via video link on Wednesday, but the court heard there was no need for him to appear.
The “vast majority” of the brief has already been served to him.
His matter will be next heard for mention in Griffith Local Court on September 30.
Vincent Stanford’s next court appearance is also scheduled for September 30.
The pair remain in custody.
