Held at their home ground, Barellan fought hard, but went down by 87 points in round 16 of the Farrer Football League competition.
The Two Blues trailed by 29 points at half-time, which was a positive sign for coach Will Overs.
However, the Kangaroos came out on the hop in the second half.
The reigning premiers flexed their muscle to earn an 18.14 (122) to 5.5 (35) victory.
Zac Wiencke was in sensational touch for Temora and topped the best players list for his side, while Tom Conlan booted three majors for Barellan.
Barellan’s next game will be against Coleambally this weekend.
In good news for the club, Overs has pledged his commitment to the Two Blues for another season.
Overs said he wanted to continue to work with the playing group and believes improvement can be seen each week.
“I always like to leave a place better than when I came,” he said.
“I’d like to stay around and get some success in the near future.”
Overs has been sidelined from the game since round 13 following a concussion.
“I’m still struggling with headaches, but I’m hopefully not out for the rest of the season,” he said.
