Play starts up again following a three-week break for school holidays and the long weekend.
Some parents and players have made inquiries about regrading.
The committee will be meeting following this week’s games to see if any regrading of teams is required.
The committee’s focus when organising teams is to have them as even as possible in order to have a close and competitive season in all grades.
With new players joining the competition each season this can be a difficult task to perform. The committee does not know how successful a team will be until several rounds have been played.
Coaches have a role to play in assisting with the regrading process by informing committee members, via the court captain, any obvious disparity in team line-ups. It is important to note that regrading only occurs in a grade when a team is found to be significantly stronger or weaker than the other teams in that grade.
Once regrading is complete the updated team lists will be available from the notice board at stadium.
A reminder to parents to check the draw to see when you are required for bench duty.
