For the past eight weeks, the school has funded a gymnastics instructor to hold lessons with all students.
Gymnastics is part of the PDHPE curriculum, with students lapping up the opportunity, according to K-2 teacher Kate Greatz.
“The students have absolutely loved it,” she said.
“A lot of them did have an interest in it before the lessons started, so it’s great to offer them this here at school.”
Students were assessed on what they had learned during last week’s session, with many showing just how far they have come since the beginning.
The school also recently held a lawn bowls program where students spent time learning how to play the sport with instructors at the Whitton Bowling Club.
