The championships were held late last month at Raymond Terrace with Kruse, nine, riding in his preferred 65cc class, as well as stepping up to the 85cc class in the seven to nine years age group.
In the 65cc, Kruse finished second overall after qualifying fifth for the final and in the 85cc he finished ninth overall after starting fourth.
The riders had four heats to determine qualifying position in the final on what is a fast track. The average speed in Kruse's 65cc class was 86km/h.
In one heat Kruse posted a lap time of 28.4 seconds, which was the fastest in that heat and placed him third in that race.
With just two practice laps to familiarise themselves with conditions, there were 296 riders in total across all junior classes, all there to win a title.
Kruse said the racing was a step up from his past experience against opposition on faster bikes.
With the results coming down to the bike, there was plenty of set-up changes to get the right gearing.
"I just put all the stuff I learned into the race," Kruse said. "In the 65cc final, I got a good start and was leading for three-and-a-half laps. I went out too wide and the other guy went up the inside.
"In the 85cc final, I got a good start and was first into the corner. I went out too wide and they all went inside. The bike didn't have enough power."
However, the race was red flagged after an accident and restarted with 11 riders. Although Kruse slid out in this race, he managed to restart and finish ninth.
After travelling and riding every weekend since March, Kruse and his family will now have a break from racing over summer.
