The side played host to the ladder-leading Yoogali SC and weren’t up to the task in the muddy conditions.
They started off on the back foot as YSC used the conditions to their advantage.
By the half-time break, Leeton were already down 3-0. They came out looking a better side in the second half, however.
They put the bad start behind them and used the speed of Adam Raso up front to create some pressure on the YSC defenders.
Leeton were rewarded for this pressure and awarded two penalties which Raso calmly slotted home.
While they showed the fight that had seen them in fourth place, it wasn’t enough as they fell 5-2.
With the loss, Leeton have still failed to win (or lose) back to back games this season. They take on West Griffith at home this week.
