The Leeton Community Care Development Incorporation is the body responsible for the op shop and is registered as a charity organisation.
The shop re-opened in May and continues to provide the same services it once did in its former capacity. With this in mind, the organisation will host a fundraising night that will be headlined by popular band Jiakomo Thief on July 2.
Board member and fundraising co-ordinator Kim Doss was hopeful the night would be supported.
“The main idea is to raise funds for our social services manager (Narelle Weymouth) so we can continue with her work,” she said.
Mrs Weymouth works three days a week at the shop providing many different types of social support.
All residents have been invited to take part in the night at the Yanco All-Servicemen’s Club on July 2 from 6.30pm. Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday at the op shop for $30.
