Residents were joined by their families and friends to celebrate Italian Republic Day in fine fashion.
Well-known resident Fred Fiumara tested his singing voice in Italian, Marie Mitchell played the piano and members of the Italian choir also performed.
Assumption Villa staff member Sue Parker said these events helped connect residents with the community.
“At these celebrations we always like to involve families and this allows the residents to have this time with family,” she said.
“Italian residents were especially happy as this meant they are able to showcase their heritage and reminisce.”
