Clubs at Leeton and Narrandera will play host to the state finals from July 30 to August 1. The finals bring together the 16 zone champions in grades two to seven, and the 16 sides that have qualified through the grade one conferences.
Leeton shire mayor Paul Maytom said hosting rights were a coup.
“Lawn bowls is a popular sporting activity in our shire and it’s great that Leeton shire will get the chance to host some of the best bowlers in the state for this event,” he said.
“The 230 competitors that will make the trip to Leeton will provide a significant injection into our visitor economy as they also bring their partners and other family members to enjoy the various regions that they visit on an annual basis.”
Residents have been encouraged to head along and watch the matches.
