After a long break for representative duties, the Dianas got to work at No. 1 Oval last Saturday and managed to shake off the cobwebs in the process.
With stand out performances from Kaitlyn McKay, Aimee Spowart and Tinai Baravilala, the Dianas were able to get over the line against the spirited Blacks outfit to keep their unbeaten record in tact.
Coach Sam Loaloadravu was pleased with the team’s efforts.
“I wasn’t expecting such a tough game against the Blacks, so it was good,” he said. “I thought the girls put in a really great performance.” This weekend they take on Albury.
“We’re looking forward to heading there and hopefully getting a win,” Loaloadravu said. “It’s a different game to when we played them in the first round.
“I’ve told the girls we need to respect them and play our best game possible.”
