The Evans brothers took the first two places in B grade with Danyon winning on 39 points and Tyh on 37. Col Tuckett got the last ball with 34c/b. NTPs were won by Peter Fell, Tim Commins, Simon Watson and John Speer. Drive n Chips were won by Bailey Stanmore, Anthony Rudd and Kenny Aylett.

THE ladies hosted their annual foursomes championships over both Saturday and Sunday. The event was taken out by Viv Burton and Jacqui Walsh on a gross score of 187. Janelle Sullivan and Jenny Day were five behind on 192. Saturday’s event was won by Day and Sullivan on 80.5 and Sunday’s by Burton and Walsh on 77 a half shot ahead of Lynnie Wood and Mary Dodd.

WEDNESDAY whackers had George Vlatko win with 38 points, one clear of Pat Cassone on 37.
The ball comp went to 34c/b and players needed 33 or better to steal one off the pro after his three over par round.
NTP’S went to Steve Webb, Janelle Sullivan, Pat Cassone and John Martin hit a beauty into the 15th.

THE 10-hole competition ended last Sunday and was decided on a three-way countback between Dick Nolen, Greg Gale and Col Tuckett after all ended on nett 41.
Nolen got the decision with the best last five holes with others tied for second.

MONDAY vets played a stroke event and Gavan Jongebloed took out his second event in a row.
George Leister stole two balls as runner up with 76 nett.

YANCO SOCIAL GOLF
Ross Cantrill and Dave Killen won the Sheather/Roulston Trophy last weekend by one shot.
They were victorious ahead of James Brown and Dean McVittie.
Kilen’s birdie on the fourth, 40 centimetres from the hole, helped the pair to win the day’s event with 39 nett from the runners-up on 40 nett.
This week will be the big hole golf charity day and Yanco’s monthly medal event the weekend after.
