Under 11s
GGGM 11 d Leeton-Whitton 9
Best players: Tamika Rourke, Madeline Irvin and Molly Gilmour.
THE girls suffered their first loss of the season, going down to a strong Ganmain side. Tamika Rourke and Sophie Cooper played three quarters in defence and continued their strong form and made it hard for the opposition.
Madeline Irvin, Dakota Boardman, Jayda Sutton-Travers and Eloise Crelley were again reliable and attacked every ball throughout the mid court. Emily Baulch and Molly Gilmour shot well and worked hard to put points on the board.

Awards: Laura Iannelli, Reba Curran and Maggie Maguire.
THE team started strong against Ganmain on Sunday only trailing behind the Lions by a few goals each quarter.
Laura Iannelli continued her form in defence with skillful intercepts and rebounding to transfer the ball towards the goal circle. Reba Curran’s strong defence had clearly been missed as she used her skill and tactic to provide a shield of protection around the opponent’s goal circle.
Bonnie Farrell was unstoppable as WD. Talia McPhellamy as centre and Isabelle Puntoriero as WA played well with skillful passing and strategic working of the goal circle.
Shooters Eilish Morden and Maggie Maguire. Eilish were magnificent in the goal third. The absence of strong mid--courter Tess Handsaker and resilient defender Allanah Veness was felt. Thanks to under 11s player Sarah Puntoriero for filling in.
