The Crows return to Leeton Showground following a bye last weekend.
Leeton-Whitton has won its last three games and will aim to make it four on the trot against the Hoppers.
First grade didn’t waiver from their commitment during the break, with training still a big focus for the side.
“We changed it up last Tuesday and had a training run with the Greenies,” coach Jade Hodge said.
“Both clubs really enjoyed that … they had the bye as well, so it worked for both of us.”
Training has returned to “normal” this week, but the intensity hasn’t dropped.
The side has been working on their communication, two-way running and ensuring they play four full quarters of solid football.
This weekend Hodge could have some selection headaches, with Tom Morton a possibility to return to the side, Ben Gaynor appears to have overcome a hamstring concern and Ryan Dunn is also available.
Hodge said there were no injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s game.
“We’ve got those three blokes that are available for selection, but I’m not sure if they’ll be back in first grade or not at this stage,” he said.
The Crows have been working on their consistency across the park heading in to finals.
Hodge said this would remain a key focus.
“That and making sure we are getting away to a good start and playing the four full quarters of footy,” he said.
“If we can get a good start on Saturday and keep that going the rest of the game, that should hopefully be able to get us the win. We need another win.”
The Riverina Football League season is building momentum heading in to the finals, with the Crows still to face some tough matches before that point.
“There’s no easy games in this competition,” Hodge said.
“Everyone is fighting to be up there, so we can’t afford to lose any games from here on in. I think it is a good thing that we’ve got these hard matches coming up ahead of finals.”
Hodge was looking forward to the challenge that would no doubt be provided from Coolamon.
“They really pushed us last time in what was some pretty terrible conditions,” Hodge said.
