Last year’s executive was returned. Enid Tuckett will take on the president’s role for the 17th year, April Bartram and Iris Herrmann will be the vice presidents, Judy Nolan secretary and publicity officer and Dawn Newman treasurer.
The Leeton branch is one of few still operating in the area, with Griffith and Wagga no longer in existence. This year the branch raised about $3000 that will be used to assist the Red Cross with its work in Australia and abroad.
“We are a small club with an ageing population, so we are proud of the work we are able to do,” Mrs Nolan said.
“The club has been functioning continuously for almost 88 years, so 2018 will be a big year for us.”
