THE Leeton Greens may have had a disappointing loss to West Wyalong at the weekend, but coach Kelly Pauls says they are more than ready for the challenge of finals.

“It was disappointing,” she said. “We actually played a really good 20 minutes of footy in the first half and we came in at half time ready to go, but then everything that could go wrong did.”
Pauls said while she often says a team is only as good as their last game, this is certainly not the case for the Greens coming into the qualifying final on Sunday, where they will again face off against West Wyalong.
“I think it’s a good thing coming into the final,” she said. “At training on Tuesday I could see it in the girls’ eyes, they really want this and so we fixed up our defence and that’s what will win us games.
“Hopefully we can come up with the goods.
“The top four or five teams are really close, anyone can do it from here – regardless of any scores we have had, it’s anyone’s game at this stage.”
